The welcoming happy smiling students and staff in addition to its beautiful and embracing community are the reasons why I chose the role of Principal here at the school. Our school has continued to build on its strong foundations and it is with great respect that I lead it into its future alongside Mr Andrew Dalton, our Director of Education. 

Our school’s location within Desa ParkCity puts it at the heart of a vibrant and exciting township. It is a unique opportunity that enables our school to be part of a highly sought lifestyle culture which provides our families with a breadth of opportunities outside of the classroom and enhances their learning experience. It is a pleasure to see the community enjoying an active lifestyle and commuting on bicycles, walking and scooters is a heartwarming and energising perspective in the morning and at the end of school.

From languages, sciences, arts, sports and broader academia; the school has periodically enhanced its provision to meet the needs of its future learners. Currently, the students enjoy a plethora of sporting arenas, Science laboratories, age specific play areas, swimming pool, staging and integrated music and art departments and with the recent addition of a competition standard climbing wall , the students are soon to not only be aiming to achieve new heights but actually reaching them!

The school community with its wonderful parent support, enigmatic students and ambitious and inspiring staff energise a community which embraces your child’s learning journey. The school culture is a fantastic one with students and staff engaging in our robust House system and embracing the sporting, arts and leadership opportunities presented to them via our active and engaged participation in AIM’s and FOBISIA events in addition to our very own showcase of talent through Primary and Secondary recitals, productions and performances.

We are proud of our through school ethos with the Early Years Centre which has been developed specifically to nurture our youngest members of the school through to our Primary (5-11 years old) and Secondary ages (11-18 years old) which sit alongside one another to inspire, motivate and support a student on their individual educational journey. Due to this succession planning and communication to guide, motivate and support our students in their academic experiences, we are proud to celebrate alongside our families the successes of their children at IGCSE and A-Level when they receive acceptance into top tier Universities or chosen career pathways.

The school continues to uphold its vision to ensure that its students are supported and guided to be global citizens and prepared to have a positive impact upon the world. This is evident in their relationships with teachers and peers, zest to enjoy House competitions and engage in the host of community events and cross curricular activities which are encouraged by the school and as part of our membership to AIMs and FOBISIA.

Welcome to The International School @ ParkCity (ISP), located in the award-winning township of Desa ParkCity, Kuala Lumpur. Since the school’s opening in 2011, I have had the privilege of witnessing its remarkable journey of growth and success. Our reputation for excellence continues to flourish both within Kuala Lumpur and beyond, a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality education.

A proud milestone in our history came in October 2017, when ISP was awarded Gold Accreditation Status following an International School’s Quality Mark (ISQM) inspection, with an ‘Outstanding’ grade across all eight standards. This exceptional achievement was reaffirmed during the follow-up inspection in 2022. One statement from the inspection report resonates deeply with me: “Everyone is always looking for ways to make this outstanding school even better.”  This perfectly captures the essence of our school – a community dedicated to continuous improvement and excellence.

As Group Director of Education, I am fully committed to ISP’s vision of becoming Malaysia’s premier international school. I work closely with our Principal, Mr. Nicholas Belcher, as we embark on the next exciting phase of the school’s development. Together, with the support of the Board of Governors, staff, and parents, we strive to ensure our students are equipped for life by fostering an informed curiosity and a lifelong passion for learning.
