Established in 1997, the Mutiara International Grammar School is located in Ampang. Over the years, the school has established itself as a well-equipped institution of learning. The school screens its student applications because it believes in quality rather than quantity. MIGS accepts children from the age of four. At the end of the Reception Year they are eligible to sit the Entrance Exam for Year 1.
MIGS offers the British National Curriculum at all stages and the Montessori approach of teaching young children.It conducts two internal examinations each year to monitor the level of attainment of each student.

External assessments are conducted at the age of 11 (Key Stage 2) and at all ages by the University of Durham CEM online baseline testing system. Key Stage 4 culminates in IGCSE examinations conducted by the University of Cambridge.
